Hello everyone! 

I'm Lisa, founder of The Wild Coast Trading Company.  I'm passionate about sustainable arts & craft development in my home town East London and further afield into the Wild Coast. 

Following a holiday back home from living abroad I decided to launch this website which enables the artists in my beautiful area reach a wider audience. And for you to easily purchase some of the wonderful creations which you find on your Eastern Cape beach holidays, but can't access for the rest of the year! 

We have launched with 14 artists, but have approximately another 30 which will be added in installments. I really hope that you enjoy shopping with us, and knowing that your are supporting artists in this magical corner of South Africa. So far we have jewellery, natural beauty, fine art, wire craft, games, ceramics, home decor, traditional isiXhosa clothing, handmade paper and more, but this will grow in time! 

In the pipeline we have books on the Wild Coast history, ceramics from very deep in the Transkei, shipwreck artifacts, beautiful leather handbags, a lot more fine art to name just a few.
