Xhosa Umbhaco Ncebtha Apron with Two Tone Braiding

  • R 56000

About

The Ncebetha is a traditional Xhosa apron. When wearing the full traditional uMbhaco set the Faskoti apron goes on first, which is for decoration, and then the Ncebetha goes on over that making it the outer apron. It is a long, narrow, rectangular apron running from the chest down to below the hips. We can make the braiding colours in any style that you like, take a look at some of our examples!

Made of the traditional Xhosa fabric iBayi, which is 100% cotton, it is made in the uMbhaco style. Beading is done to suit the fabric colour, but you may also request any beading colours of your choice.

All products are made to order, please allow 2 weeks for completion of your order.
