Xhosa Umbhaco Bhayi Shawl with Two Tone Braiding
About
The Bhayi is a traditional Xhosa blanket shawl which goes over the shoulders and is made with the traditional Xhosa fabric iBayi, which is 100% cotton. It is made in the uMbhaco style, using black shoelace braid, mother-of-pearl buttons and beading, which is done to suit the fabric, but you're welcome to request your own colours.
This bhayi blanket uses two tone braiding, we have added pictures of a few of our favourite colour combinations, but we can make any combination to create a unique look for you!
All products are made to order, please allow 2 weeks for completion of your order.
