About

The Skhwenkweni is a traditional Xhosa shawl which is beaded, braided and has mother-of-pearl buttons. It is wrapped around the chest and used as a bra or breast/chest wrap. It can also be used as a small blanket. Made of the traditional Xhosa fabric iBayi, which is 100% cotton, it is made in the uMbhaco style. Beading is done to suit the fabric colour, but you may also request any beading colours of your choice.

All products are made to order, please allow 2 weeks for completion of your order.
