Consequences, 2019

Mixed Media painting on canvas in a black frame 76cm x 51cm

After the artist, Tamsanqa Mnkani that lead to killing of an innocent soul, he had to face the consequences for such a crime. He was arrested and jailed for 4 months even though he feels that it was not enough time, but the Criminal Justice system deals with alleged criminals in their own way. He did however learn his lesson, Tamsanqa knows that he will never be able to bring the victim back but as a young boy four months felt like a very long punishment as he was still a ‘mamma’s boy.

Not seeing his mother was a good punishment for, in his own words, a ‘criminal sinner’ because it was the last time he was ever involved in criminal behaviour.
